Kat Von D and Jesse James Engagement is Off!

Kat Von D called off her tattooed nuptials to Jesse James in a statement on Twitter today, saying "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that."

Just a short month earlier, James had gushed to Howard Stern that Kat Von D was "100 percent" better in bed than his ex, Sandra Bullock. "Yes sir. 100 percent. She's a vixen," he said.

Gil Lopez, the Executive Producer of Von D's television show L.A. Ink told Us Weekly that the tattoo artist "designed a wedding dress" before their split for the upcoming wedding. She described the relationship as a "fairy tale love story."

Months later, in November 2011, Von D posted on Facebook that Jesse James had cheated on her with at least 19 women. "Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year," she posted. "I kept going back and forth in my mind as to what the best way would be for me to release and let go of any residual feelings remaining from that toxic relationship. All of this may sound petty or immature to some, but I assure you this is coming from a place of pure honesty and love," she continued.

Von D also said she realizes she should have known better. "I deserve a big fat 'I told you so,' from everyone, and wish I didn't have to say, 'You all were more right that you'll ever know' but you were."
