Tall dark and handsome, Egyptian Omar Sharif studied mathematics and physics at Cairo University and was nominated for an Oscar for his first English language role in 1962's Lawrence of Arabia with Peter O'Toole. He's best known for roles in Dr. Zhivago and Funny Girl and as an excellent contract bridge player, whatever that is.
